Risk management from the technical – engineering perspective
The term “risk management” is a very broad term and is quite often misunderstood. As opposed to many players in the insurance industry who apply this term to the process of analysing the insurance needs of the insured, preparing insurance specifications and the like, our office attributes a much wider practical application to this term.
An engineer and master’s degree graduate with specialisation in technological risk management from our office offers on-site risk management services. We will arrange to visit the business premises / factory, and together with a company representative conduct an comprehensive survey of the entire premises, factories, warehouses or other sites, gain an understanding of the inherent risks therein, analyse the environmental risks relevant to each site, review contracts with customers and suppliers, and prepare a report of the existing situation. The report will contain recommendations to implement or improve various measures to mitigate exposure to certain risks or to eliminate them entirely where possible. The next stage involves making recommendations to upgrade the insurance portfolio where necessary in order to contribute further to reducing exposure to risk as far as possible.
Such a service by a professional risk management at “on-site” level, orientated towards synchronisation with a comprehensive and adequate insurance portfolio, is a unique and winning combination.
